I used the sun to light many of my pictures, be it still or video, just as any photographer should. Sometimes I fell victim to our sun, in my inexpirienmce it could turn any reporter or interviewee into shadow face. But recently I have taken a liking to this sun. Yeah it's pretty important for things other than photography I guess... but pointing the lens straight at the sun and capturing, it's kind of turned into a hobby of mine. Bad for a camera with no UV filter? Not sure. But, it never fails to have some short of power to behind it, the photo I mean. A glisten of light peaking out from behind a white picket fence, a silhouette of tree branches against an orange sky, and of course the sunrise everyone wants to remember. They all speak to us.d

So go ahead! Everyone knows this. Less TV organizationsa re not hireing as much or at all. And this effects me, because I am graduating in a few short months. It was last semester when I ended up bumping into WCAX out of Burrlington during a story at the Caladonia Court Hosue in Saint J Vermont. It realy stuck into my memory for some reason. It was one gentleman, quickly pulling over at the imediate side of the road. Grabbing his camera bag and tripod and running itno the court house just as I was leaving. "No reporter?" I thought.

I precieved that as a sign, and long story short, I have begun tracking, shooting, and writing some of my own pieces.

<object width="425" Embers...
I shall swim
Slowly...slowly...and slowly
Swim through the piercing Arctic sea
Chunks of ice scrap my limbs and warp my path
Eyes foggy I stare closely at the chunks that say "stop"

Saintly Woman of heat and smoke...
I shall climb
slowly...slowly...and slowly
Climb atop the hills of slush

It's hard to gain footing in inches of wet slippery snow covered hills...
It's hard to hold onto the damp roots of the ground
slip...slip...slip
It's Hard to stare upat a hill you just failed to climb...

Scorching Deity of Flaming Brush...
I shall go forward
Grab onto eveery single weathered root I can find
Reach peeks scarcely being reached
Jump into the red hot spewing hiltop that screams fire in my eyes and melts Icey deserts in my chest...

Goddess of Fire
I shall Walk
Slowly...slowly...and slowly
Over these eternal flames that burn my feet but reach my tight cold veins and bring Infernos inside my soul...
<img width='1' height='1'
